This book is for anyone who is in the mist of their own “In-Between”, when life is a little much and you could use a cheering section. A book for those moments when you need to be reminded you aren’t alone. It is intended to be a Gift Book to share with others, for those occasions when your heart is full but you can’t find the words and you would like to offer someone a tangible piece of support. A book to help remind you that where you are is exactly where you need to be, a reminder that healing takes time, that love will find a way, and that hope wins out one healing moment at a time. It is also a book for those moments when those words sound hollow and empty. This gift is intended to meet you wherever you are at in your In-Between. This book was born as an extension of a letter I wrote to a friend who was struggling with how to move on in the midst of a divorce that left him with more questions than answers. When people kept asking for a copy of what I had written to share with others who were in the midst of various stages of loss, grief and growth I knew I had to do something more substantial with it. After experiencing my own in-between of having a marriage end, leaving a job I loved, moving across the country, losing my only brother suddenly in a tragic accident within a matter of months, the words I wrote to my friend were from the heart, the letter I wish I would have held in the midst of those dark nights. This book is that letter addressed to you. I hope that it will be a comfort, a moment of peace in the midst of chaos, a hand to hold in the darkness. From my heart to yours.

This book was brought to my attention by my sister-in-law because she's been gifting it and thought my coworkers (I'm a hospice nurse) might like it. Not necessarily appropriate for death/dying but depends on a persons beliefs... If you know someone at an 'in between' this is a wonderful token. The words are supportive, unoffensive, easy to read.
I received this small book by mistake, I have read it now a few times, gaining strenght each time. The 'In Between' is a perfect book to read and learn to understand when dear ones are in the place between the light and the final darkness. I am a writer, a reader and foremost I am critical! This book deserves the five stars three times over. Thank you Erica Staab, for sharing these timeless words. And no I do not know you, but I sure admire you!
